My mother, during the summer of 1975, in an effort to keep me out of her hair, pawned me off on our tiny town's local metal smith. As a 7th grader I soaked up everything the teacher put in front of me. Fast forward to my 40's--it was there I found myself remembering how much fun I had that summer. Once my children were in school, I wanted to do something creative. In 2002 I started Kandi-O--I began with purses made from magazine and album covers and earrings made from guitar picks. It was at this time that I realized that what WAS is the way that it should be. I began to reintroduce myself to metalsmithing. It's my passion!!! I learn something new every day and I love it that way!!!!
